Bible Book Tabs- Free Cut File

Hi Everyone!! Well this is quite a story! I decided to make tabs for my new journaling Bible, so I started last week, lol.. I thought I was all done, printed out, cut and ready to go...when I realized.. I put the titles on the bottom of the tabs instead of the top, lol.. So, now they are all fixed, done, re-printed and re-cut and in my Bible. A few people said they would love them too, so I have a free Silhouette Cameo cut file to share. They are sized to do a print and cut on an 8.5x11 piece of paper. I used the Cricut White Sticker Paper and all I had to do was pull them off and stick them on! I did try clear paper, but it didn't show any of the patterns. The file also can be edited.. just ungroup and you can change the fill patterns, the font, anything you please. If you do use the file I would love to know, so I can make more files in the future for journaling. (there is a freebie tab at the top of my blog for other goodies). Also, follow along so you don't miss out on the next cut file!  Just leave me a comment below or send me a photo of what you have done to scrappyhappymom@hotmail.com!
(CLICK ON THE PHOTOS TO DOWNLOAD THE FILES)
(Note: These are just preview photos, all the tabs are there,
make sure you download all three)

The Touch of the Masters Hand

The Touch of The Masters Hand Isaiah 30:28 by Lynn Shokoples
Good Morning! Today I'm sharing another page, this one from Isaiah. I wanted to document the touch of the Lords hand in our lives. I found this image on "inkidoodles" and tried to recreate it. I love challenging myself to see what I am capable of. I seem to stay in that "comfort" zone, but I'm trying to learn more about drawing. As I read the passages, I just see what comes to me and I go from there. I don't talk much about the scripture, as I think we each have our own meaning and understanding of what we read and how it inspires us. I am also learning alot about different mediums, which is fun. This was done with NeoColorII crayons and Prisma pencil crayons.. I love playing with these! So until next time....

The Lord is Good - Bible Journaling

The Lord is good to those who wait for him bible journal page by Lynn Shokoples Lamentations 3:25-26
Good Morning! I just got home from our last bit of summer vacation out at the cabin. We spent a week sitting in the sun, reading, sharing and doing some bible journaling. Well, let me clarify.. I was bible journaling while hubby was reading about flying and sharing, lol.. This is a page I did while out at the cabin. While I'm still learning to draw, I am doing a lot of tracing and trying to add details of my own. This is a whole new art for me, since I can't draw. Thank goodness for talented people that share their artwork. This photo came from "draw4life" and I thought it fit perfectly with the passage from Lamentations 3:25-26. I love reading different passages from different parts of the bible to inspire my art. I am also reading a bible my mom gave me, which is in Chronological order. It's fascinating!! This is a whole new season for me, and I'm so thankful I found this type of art. Until next time...

Happiness - BoBunny

Good Morning and a Happy Monday! Today I'm sharing a layout I did on the BoBunny facebook page. My daughter and her husband were at a wedding where they had a photo booth! How fun right? I couldn't resist scrapping these with the new Genevieve Collection from BoBunny. The colors are rich yet subtle. I used a bunch of different stamps from the stamp sets and some embellies from the chipboard collection. The little birds I fussy cut from the 6x6 paper pad. It's so much fun to start playing with a new collection. Have a wonderful day everyone... until next time!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Last week on the BoBunny blog I shared some more of my Misc. Me pages. Since Nicole got married, I promised her an album of her shower..so here is the start of it! I had fun decorating the album with pieces of the Noteworthy and some blush glitter paste.

The little pocket squares are so fun to choose from, they just add that little "somethin, somethin" to the page.

The frames were cut with the new Nested Fancy Frames Dies. I grouped two frames together to cut out a thin border.

If your wondering about the hat..well.. that's a tradition here. You gather all the bows from the presents and make the bride a hat!! Fun right? I loved the big letters from the Noteworthy pack that spelled "LOVE", so I used them on the four pockets.

Distress Ink Bookmarks

Distress Ink Bookmarks by Lynn Shokoples
Happy Thursday!! Today was "make your own bookmark" day in the studio. I had taken the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 and 102 last year where you learn tons of techniques and information about inks. I watched all the videos, printed out the PDF's.. but never tried the techniques until today. Twelve tags.. twelve techniques! Let's just say I was covered in ink by the end of the day. But I had so much fun creating, and that's what it's all about. Now.. to figure out how to coat them, lol...

Bees and Honey - Bible Journaling

Isaih 7:18 Bible Journal Page by Lynn Shokoples
Good Morning! I'm here today to share another Bible Journal page with you. I can't even express the feelings I have when I read, reflect and create all by listening to the word of God. I would call myself a Spiritual person, rather than religious, but I still love to read and reflect. I found some pages on Pinterest and I knew I wanted to draw some bees and honey. First time for this experience, lol.. I'm finding out I love to draw ( well trace photos and try to draw the details). This image I found on google. Some draw, some paint, some trace, it's all ok! There is inspiration everywhere you look.
I know I'm having fun learning with my supplies. For this project I used Faber Castell Watercolor Pencils, Neo ColorII crayons and some Prismacolor Pencils to do the detailing.

Last post I said that I would share some sites I follow.. so today we will focus on Facebook! I love the
"Documented Faith" group, where there is a weekly prompt. The ladies are also so sweet and encouraging. I also follow "Bible Art Journaling Challenge" group where there is a weekly video and reading you can document if you want. "Journaling Bible Community" and "Creating in Faith" are also wonderful groups I've just joined. It's so wonderful to see how everyone worships in their own way and faith.

Walk Humbly With Your God - Bible Journal

Good Morning Friends! Today I have something new to share with you. I have started creating in my bible journal. When I first heard about this new art form I was skeptical. I said to my sister who introduced me to it "how can someone deface the bible?". Then I began to research and realized these are special bibles to journal in, create in, and I was intrigued. I have been scrapbooking and doing art journal pages for years now, so this really fascinated me. I love to art journal, but I always wanted to pages to "mean" something to me. When I read my first passage in the bible, and idea came right to me. I searched google for some inspiration and found this photo of runners. It was scary to begin drawing and painting on those precious pages. For me, this is a way for me to express myself with my art and also study the bible. I really feel I have found my way. I also found some wonderful facebook groups whom I will tell you about in my next post. So, this is the first page I'm sharing and I have a few more to share as well.. thank you for letting me tell my story and share my art with you all.

Find Your Paradise - BoBunny

Good Morning Everyone!! Last week at BoBunny I shared some pages from my Misc. Me binder. The theme of the week was "What do you do in the summer?"... well, in Canada, summer is short, so we do everything that we can, lol. I chose to work with the Boardwalk collection, as it's bright, it's fun and there are so many summer elements to choose from.
I took the stickers and labeled each photo as a way to keep them uniformed. Then I chose the cards from the Journal Contents pack. Along with some layered chipboard, some noteworthy pieces and stamping, my cards were ready! I love doing Misc. Me pages. It's like doing a whole bunch of mini layouts, lol.
